Dallas News and Arts Writers Wanted for Online GLBT Network (Edge Publications)

Post date: 08 June 2011
EDGE Publications, Inc. operates the leading network of local gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender news and entertainment portals on the Internet. We are a rapidly growing company with web sites currently serving New England, Boston, Provincetown, Providence, New York City, Philadelphia and Southern Florida, Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago, Washington DC, San Francisco, Las Vegas, San Diego, Los Angeles and Seattle. We publish daily and have a monthly readership of more than 800,000.

SEEKING NEWS WRITERS:

Are you a talented writer for news for snooping out the story, who knows how to conduct a phone interview or how to cover an event accurately and engagingly? Are you passionate about LGBT issues, social justice and making a dent in this crazy world? If so, we're looking for you! EDGE is seeking writers who are willing to do the footwork (on the phone mostly, but occasionally the old shoe leather) to track down the stories that the GLBT community want to read.

SEEKING MUSIC AND THEATRE CRITICS

EDGE is seeking experienced music (concerts, classical, opera) and theatre (plays, musicals, dance) critics. Opinionated? Love Music & Theatre? Want to see them free? EDGE wants you!

If you lack imagination, ambition, a passion for turning out the perfect phrase, or street smarts, look elsewhere. If, however, you want the satisfaction of seeing (and using as an online clip) a story that will be read by thousands, send (in Word, please) your resume and enclose links to samples or samples (PDF or other readable format, please).

Interested?

Send your resume and writing samples and please specify which city you are interested in as well as which EDGE section (News, Arts & Entertainment, etc) If a music or theatre critic, please specify.

Payment: per story for NEWS, tickets in trade for ARTS
