Queer Magazine Online is Looking for Contributors

Post date: 12 September 2010
Deadline: open

You like working alone. You would like to write columns, articles, produce informative pieces and more. You are interested in the issues that LGTB people face today, and want to make a contribution to this community.

Queer Magazine Online is now being run as a nonprofit project by me, Anders Rödskar, who started the site in late 2009. QMO aspires to be the obvious choice for LGBT people who want an online meeting place.

QMO targets not only Swedish members, but an international audience. I have, at the time of writing this, actively worked with the portal for more than 10 months. Now it needs some new and fresh editorial ideas, and this is where you come in.

I am looking for contributors who wish to run the portal with me and really make it into something extraordinary. Here, your knowledge of web portals and, above all, its subject-matter, will be essential.

The next piece that needs to be added is a few freelance journalists / photographers. The consistent thread is that QMO is a non-porn site for LGBT people.

Today, the site is operated as a volunteer project, so I am unable to remunerate, but once QMO makes a profit, financial compensation will be discussed. Initially, your compensation will be the satisfaction of being able to get your ideas in front of a wider audience.

Qualifications:

Portal: You have your own ideas about what a website could contain. Maybe you have worked with a portal before.

Freelance Journalists / photographers: You like working alone. You would like to write columns, articles, produce travel reports and more.

Application:
If you are interested, please write me a few lines and I will contact you for further discussion.
