Gay Place Bloggers/ Interns Needed

Post date: 08 September 2010
Deadline: open

RECYCLE, RETURN, REPEAT This month's feeling a li'l pleasantly back to the future if you know what we mean. Foodies is relaunching Coochie Coo and getting involved again in HRC's Dinah!, and Bobby Cook is draping the Belmont in white to welcome Last Splash (see Ongoing). On a totally different front, the judge in Cali revisited the Prop. 8 fracas by overturning the damned thing.

Pore over that ruling; it reads like poetry. Life is looking a little finer through the rearview mirror. But it's no time to live in the past, that's for sure. There's too much to do. As a matter of fact, we need you to do some stuff right here! We reiterate our call-up for Gay Place bloggers. The slew of responses to the first call was sweet, but we're greedy and want more.

Consider this your second call-up (and a bit of a rerun): The Gay Place Blog wants you! Interested? Rummage through the Gay Place Blog archives (dig deep) and get a feel for what we've been doing. Then send us an e-mail: a brief profile, your areas of interest and expertise, how frequently you can realistically contribute, résumé basics (who you are, how we can contact you, and a way to verify the above), and an amazing writing sample. Also, be available for the occasional group meeting/outing. We are fun! Bad news? No pay. Good news? Great forum for your brilliance.

Also! The Gay Place is taking on a few interns. Interested? Send the same info as above (writing samples not necessary). Address it all to Kate at gayplace@austinchronicle.com. We will eventually reply to all applicants.
