Newspaper Reporter Wanted to Cover Predominantly Gay East End of Fire Island (NY)

Newspaper Reporter needed for 50 plus year old community beach paper. A great opportunity for a self-motivated and talented person (and rare as we have very low turnover!).

Cover the predominately gay East End of Fire Island-- Cherry Grove and Fire Island Pines.
Must be able to suggest stories, cover a beat, make contacts, write a fantastic news story as well as features and interviews. Must have own laptop and digital camera.

NO drama queens please. Be able to communicate, work independently and meet deadlines. Salary is commiserate with experience and housing needs on FI. Possibility of more work if desired. Please send cover letter and resume with references to email listed. No calls please.
