Call for Performance Artists: The 2011 Seattle Er0tic Art Fesitval

The 2011 Seattle Er0tic Art Festival has now expanded its call for submissions to include performers, and applications for the performance aspect of the festival will remain open until March 1. All performance groups and performers age 18 years or older are encouraged to apply.

The festival will accept any original pieces or adaptations of an existing piece of work based on an aspect of the er0tic (i.e. voy3urism, h0mosexuality, etc.). Selections made will enhance and support the Festival’s 2011 theme: Red Light District. Additionally, there will be ambient and satellite environments featuring original or adaptive thematic performance.

Please email a letter of interest to this email address. You must include in your email:

- Your legal name and your preferred stage name
- Title, length, and detailed description of your act proposal
- Indicate if proposal is intended for mainstage, ambient or satellite performance
- Staging requirements
- Contact information (email and phone number)
- Any supporting materials (video, photos, weblink, YouTube, drawings, etc.)
- History of performance experience

Deadline for submissions is March 1, 2011. Performers will be contacted as needed to schedule auditions. Auditions will be held March 5-7 in Seattle, and performers will be selected by March 15. Select featured performance artists will be compensated with a modest stipend. All performers will gain exposure to an audience of thousands of people, including international artists and patrons; the Festival anticipates more than 5,000 attendees this year.
