Join our writing workshop, led by award-winning San Francisco writer and playwright George Birimisa.

Most participants are members of the LGBT community, but we welcome all writers, of all ages and at all levels of experience.

George Birimisa won the Harry Hay award in 2005 for his decades of inspiration to young activists and writers. The devoted writing instructor has received numerous literary and theatrical awards, including a 2008 Lambda Literary Foundation book award for his contributions to the book Return to the Caffe Cino, published by Moving Finger Press. He was the first openly gay playwright to receive a Rockefeller Foundation grant.

There is no charge for participation, but donations are requested at the beginning of each month.
