Hello writers. We need your pen.

We’re an online entertainment magazine for the hip, urban 25 – 35 demographic in major cities around the world. Our readers seek the best in music, food, nightlife and culture in their cities and we never fail to deliver it to them. This is where you come in. We are seeking experienced, in-the-know freelance writers to cover our New York City market and write enticing articles about all that’s hot in the area.

You will be producing articles for the publication that include but are not limited to a weekly summary of events coming up, happenings and news based on trending topics, large concert and event previews, new restaurant openings, hotel deals and general interest in a voice that appeals to a hip, urban 25 – 35 demographic.

We also will ask you to provide short and relevant social media posts for the market’s Twitter/Facebook accounts (sometimes referencing your own content, other times referencing other news)

We would like it if you had the following skills/experience...

  • 3 + years of proven writing experience
  • Technologically savvy and able to utilize web/publishing tools (basic HTML)
  • Able to maintain contact via email and meet deadlines consistently
  • Able to work independently and proactively with minimal supervision
  • Prefer NYC-based writers but open to candidates with proven knowledge of the area
  • Industry insiders welcome
