Remember earlier this year, when the team behind Read Dirty to Me wanted your submissions for their event at Ladyfest Ten?
If weren’t able to get involved last time around, you’re in luck, because after their popular (and saucy!) session at Ladyfest Ten, Read Dirty to Me are once again calling for submissions to their next issue of their zine, scheduled for publication in January 2011.
Read Dirty to Me, in case you weren’t among our number last time we featured it, is a literary zine that deals in the naughty aspects of language and writing.
The topic is the sexual woman in literature. Recall the feminine archetypes in writing through the ages – mother, virgin, saint, goddess, temptress, whore – and let your modern imagination run wild in reclaiming, reworking, enforcing, subverting, deconstructing and thus creating a contemporary counterpart.
Email in your submission by Christmas Day if you want to be included. For an idea of what they’re after, have a nosey through the online edition of the first issue. Good luck!
