Slash Books Call For Submissions - "Truth or Dare"
Slash Books is looking for short stories (500 - 20K words) that explore gay, lesbian, or other alternative lifestyle romance.
'Truth or Dare' is a tantalysing game; bound to the integrity of the players, fascinating details can be revealed both by what characters are willing and unwilling to do. Each story must incorporate either Truth, Dares, or the game of Truth or Dare as an element of the story. Be creative!
Your story should focus on the relationship and its evolution. While sex is a part of a healthy relationship, we're looking for plot and characterization, not simple PWP (Plot? What Plot?). Intriguing characters and interesting situations are the ticket to success here. Be creative! All genres (humour, action, angst, etc) welcome. For this anthology, we're aiming for happy endings.
The chosen stories will be published in print and e-book form, and all authors will be compensated based on story length as well as per item sold. Each author will also get up to three printed copies of the full anthology free of charge.
Deadline for submissions: January 31, 2011
Estimated publication date: April 30, 2011.
