Morning Entertainment and Celebrity News Editor:
For early risers! Entertainment and celebrity news site PopEater.com seeks an editor to work weekday morning shifts, approx 5 - 10 AM ET. Editor will be responsible for copy edits on overnight items, working with creation of original news items as well as items highlighting our partner content. Editor will also be responsible for building posts based on morning show news.
Requirements:
-- MUST be available to work the hours of approx. 5AM - 10 AM ET Monday - Friday
-- Basic Photoshop and HTML
-- Entertainment writing experience, preferrably for news Web sites or newspapers.
-- Encyclopedic knowledge of current celebrity players and pop culture history
-- Detailed knowledge of the current online celebrity and news spaces
-- Ability to multitask
-- Comfort working with video embed codes
-- Great attention to detail. Former experience within a research or copy edit department a PLUS
