Fredericton Pride's Call for Er*tic LGBT Poetry/ Short Fiction: Just Love Anthology

Post date: 16 November 2010
Deadline: 28 February 2011

Call for Submissions:

“Just Love”

The Fredericton Pride 2010 committee is looking for short fiction and poetry for its upcoming e-book and POD anthology “Just Love.” This is not a paying call for subs: all proceeds from this project go toward funding LGBT advocacy and celebration projects in Fredericton.

What we want:

- Smart, LGBT-themed romance short stories between 1000-4000 words, and 1-2 page works of poetry.

- Works by authors who are 18 years and older, which follow our “Just Love” theme. We want stories that feature love or the potential for love, with a happy-ever-after (or happy for now) ending.

-Clean, polished, literary works (not rough/first drafts) . Following the norms of the genre, please avoid heavy euphemisms when describing sex.

-Electronic submissions only, double-spaced, 12-pt. times new roman font, in .doc (NOT .docx) or .rft format.

-Original works only. We are looking for first electronic and print rights (non-exclusive) for this anthology.

Please send any questions, queries, a single short story submission, or up to three poems to Anthology2011@frederictonpride.org.

Deadline: February 28, 2011 for publication in Spring 2011.
