From the blog of Jamieson Wolf, author of The Other: Invoking Darkness:
Here’s something totally cool. Guess what I’m doing this October?
I’m honoured to report that I am once again teaching at The Muse Online Writers Conference. I’m trying something a little different this year and a little bit more specific. My workshop this year is titled Riding the Lightning: On Writing M/M Romance.
How cool is that? I’m so excited to be teaching this year and it’s all happened by happenstance. In 2009, Cobblestone Press asked me to present a workshop about how to write gay romance.
But the truth is, I had never really thought about it. I just wrote it, and it was entirely accidental in the first place.
Writing this workshop was as new to me as it will be to you. Here’s a bit about Riding the Lightning: On Writing M/M Romance:
Gay Romance is one of the hottest growing genre’s in today’s market. Have you always wanted to try writing a gay romance novel, but have no idea how to go about it?
Well, never fear! Number One Best Selling gay romance author Jamieson Wolf will tell you all about Riding the Lightning…
Focusing on the art of writing a gay romance, Jamieson covers some of the following topics that are sure to tantalize and titillate you such as:
• Read What You Want To Write
• Practice Makes Perfect
• What’s Your What If?
• Weathering the Storm
• Building the World
• Opposites Attract
• Possessive Ho’Ho’s
• The Many Faces of Ding Dong’s
• Putting the Passion on the Page
• Fear Not the Plot Twist
• No Doubt About It
• Getting it to the Finish Line
• Jack It To Beyond
For anyone who has ever wanted to put pen to paper (and make deliciously sexy men get to know each other in the most intimate sense of the word), lean all about Riding the Lightning…
…and release the story within you.
The Muse Online Writers Conference is FREE and takes place from October 11th to 17th, 2010. It features tons of chats and workshops featuring publishers, agents, authors and more talking about everything under the sun about writing. It’s also been a wonderful experience teaching for them every year.

Due to a technological error (these things happen) I’m not listed in the presenters page or on the workshops page. I will be soon though! However, in order to register for Riding the Lightning: On Writing M/M Romance, you’ll have to email the founder directly.
You can register for my workshop for free by emailing Lea Schizas at museitupeditor at yahoo.ca
I hope you can all come and join me (did I mention that it’s free?) and learn how to ride the lightning.
