Seeking LGBT Creative Non-Fiction Pieces: TOSKA Literary Journal

Post date: 16 April 2012
TOSKA is a new online literary journal showcasing the works of nonfiction writers complemented by photography. With a strict focus on nonfiction, we are accepting narrative nonfiction, flash nonfiction, biography, autobiography and memoir, experimental, political, historical, LGBT, journalistic works, and most other nonfiction subgenres. We will also consider art, music, book, and media reviews of exceptional quality for occasional publication. Our editors are committed to publishing new and emerging writers. We are also seeking photography submissions from both amateur and professional photographers and are particularly interested in journalistic and documentary-style photography. We accept both single photographs and series of up to five images.

Because we will be an online publication, artists need not be limited to the Washington, D.C. metro area. The deadline for the first round of submissions is May 1, and we plan to launch our website along with our first online issue in mid- to late May.

At this time we are not able to compensate artists for their work, but we hope to offer a small honorarium in the future. However, artists will retain all rights to their work and need not ask permission to submit their work elsewhere if published in TOSKA.
