Call for Submissions
NewTown Writers, Chicago’s premier GLBT writing and performance group, is pleased to announce that our print anthology, Off the Rocks, is now accepting submissions for Volume 16.
Off the Rocks is seeking short stories, poetry, creative non-fiction, personal essays, and short plays from the GLBT community and its advocates. We also invite submissions of photography and artwork. Submitters do not need to be residents of Chicago.
While there is no specific theme, content of submissions should be PG-13 or lower and should be for and about individuals who identify as queer.
Fiction and non-fiction submissions should be a maximum of 5,000 words. Reprints are acceptable. Paste your single-spaced submission into the body of an e-mail. Please only send attachments if you are submitting photography or artwork. Up to three submissions permitted.
Submissions for Off the Rocks should be directed to allisonfradkin [at] aol [dot] com. All submissions will be acknowledged and all writers will be notified of the editor’s selections.
Contributors will receive a complimentary copy of the anthology upon publication.
The deadline for submissions is March 15, 2012.
