Call for Manuscripts: Erato (LGBT imprint of Musa Publishing)

Musa Publishing is expanding its GLBT imprint and would like to invite you to be a part of our rapidly growing Erato family. The Musa credo is we build authors, and at Musa you will work with some of the best professionals available to bring your story to publication. At Erato, we’re seeking to build a wide spectrum of high-quality GLBTQ fiction in order to meet the needs of our diverse readership.

What we want:
  • R0mance and er0tica of all h3at levels
  • Non-r0mance fiction, including (but not limited to) speculative fiction, paranormals, contemporaries
  • We also have a particular interest in GLBTQ YA

Call Dates: Immediate and ongoing
Length: 4000 words and greater
Reprints: Musa will consider reprints on rights reverted stories
Payment: Royalties only

No multiple submissions accepted

Submissions

With your submission to Musa, please send the following AND ONLY the following to submissions@musapublishing.com :

A query letter, including a synopsis of your story and your publication history if applicable;
a full synopsis of your story and the first twenty pages of your manuscript EMBEDDED IN THE EMAIL.

We will not open attachments, and will send an email rejecting you for not following our submission guidelines. Most writers don't realize that this instruction is your first test with any publication. We thought we'd make it easier for you and let you know up front. We will not open any attachments in your query email. Ever.

If we like what we see, we will request your entire story in standard electronic manuscript format (1 inch margins-top, bottom, and sides; 12 pt Times New Roman font, NO BOLDING, double spaced, non-justified right margin).
