KalaKranti 2011: A Festival of Queer South Asian Short Film
Trikone-Chicago is a social, cultural, and activist organization committed to Queer South Asians in the Chicagoland area, and beyond. Each year we celebrate the extraordinary potential of art to engender transformation and inspire possibility; this year we turn to Short Film, a medium of both brevity and profundity. We welcome short films of any genre, by and/or about queer South Asians (on the subcontinent or in the diaspora). Established filmmakers and first-timers, all are welcome! There is no submission fee. The festival will be curated by a committee of Chicago-based artists, activists, and scholars. KalaKranti 2011 is co-presented by Columbia College’s Center for Asian Arts and Media.
