NewTown Writers, Chicago's premier LGBT writing and performance group, is pleased to announce that our print anthology, Off the Rocks, is now accepting submissions for Volume 15!
Off the Rocks is seeking short stories, poetry, creative non-fiction, personal essays, and short plays from the LGBT community and its advocates. We also invite submissions of photography and artwork. Submitters do not need to be residents of Chicago.
While there is no specific theme, content of submissions should be PG-13 or lower and should be for and about individuals who identify as queer.
Fiction and non-fiction submissions should be a maximum of 5,000 words. Each writer may submit three pieces for consideration. Reprints are acceptable as long as the author retains the copyright.
Paste your single-spaced submission into the body of an e-mail (no attachments, please). Send multiple submissions in separate e-mails.
Submissions for Off the Rocks should be directed to allisonfradkin [at] aol [dot] com. All submissions will be acknowledged and all writers will be notified of the editor's selections.
Contributors will receive a complimentary copy of the anthology upon publication.
The deadline for submissions is April 1, 2011.
