Call for Submissions - Michiana Monologues: Band of Sisters 2011

Post date: 28 September 2010
Deadline: 1 November 2011

The stories can be about experiences from gay relationships.

Michiana Monologues is play presented by the IU South Bend's V-Club in the form of the reader's theatre. The stories are anonymously submitted and performed by women in the Michiana area. The proceeds go toward organizations that help women in crisis.

Michiana Monologues will be accepting story submissions until November 1. There is a special invite this year for stories regarding gender and work, but stories about anything affecting women in today's society are eagerly accepted.

The stories can be about experiences from work, family issues, sisterhood, straight or gay relationships and even body image. The editors are looking for a richness and diversity within the stories. The writing content can be everything from tragedy to hilarity.

While written submissions are strongly encouraged, Michiana Monologues also appreciates women who have an interest in editing, event coordination and acting.

Performances of the Michiana Monologues will begin in February and will take place at IU South Bend, Southside Christian Church, and the Roosevelt Center in Elkhart.
