Queer Arts Now

Queer Arts Now is a webseries showcasing queer artists for that are not picked up by the “mainstream” media. The episodes 5 – 7 minutes in length and have Co-Hosts Ks Stevens and Ashley Brockington going on location to interview ongoing cultural artists and ongoing live cultural events. Jacks Memenza is in charge of all Videographer and editing. This season our episodes have and will spotlight: Queer Arts Now, Good Asian Drivers, Cabaret Cataplexy, Kicked Out! The Anthology, Butch Burlesque, and Rivers of Honey,… just to name a few.

Co-Producer and Co-HostMs. Ks Stevens is a native New Yorker and a member of The Dramatists Guild of America and the WOW Cafe Theatre. She is the Producer of the plays "Butch Mamas" and "Yellow Lens." She is also Miss Lez 2009 and Co-Curating Butch Burlesque with Victoria Libertore at Dixon Place in July 2010 as part of their HOT! Co-Host
Ms. Ashley Brockington co-curates The Cabaret Cataplexy, is a Producer of Rivers of Honey, and is the Creator of an annual performance project called “Black Girl Ugly,” a meditation on Black Girlness & self-esteem. She is committed to local community theater and is proud to member of the WOW Café Theater collective.
