The GLC Centre Inc is a social support, non-government organisation that was established in Hobart in 1992. It seeks to be a focus, for support, resources and communication in the wider Tasmanian gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and intersex (GLBTI) communities.

The scholarship is available to honours students undertaking studies in any discipline that has direct relevance to gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender or intersex communities.
